Aer Lingus Selects TMS

In 2009, Advance Systems were selected by Aer Lingus as its preferred Time & Attendance System supplier to manage the worktime attendance of its 2,500 ground staff. The flexibility and reliability of Advance Systems’ time and attendance solutions were the main reasons for their selection. Aer Lingus is currently using TMS with DOTNET functionality as well as having proximity terminals at various locations at Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports.

Scheduling and Rostering

Each department within Aer Lingus has predefined rules which must be adhered to when rostering staff. With TMS managers can schedule the required number of staff with the required skill sets, while TMS ensures that all planned rosters fall within predefined rules. This results in increased efficiency, and ultimately keeps the payroll costs as low as possible.

Compliance with Working Rules and Directives

Aer Lingus employees work anti-social and irregular hours through a 24-hour cycle. TMS successfully monitors and ensures full compliance with the European Working Time Directive. Rules such as the 48-hour average week and 11-hour rest periods are easier to control using the future work planner in TMS.

Payroll

TMS is also used for automating & streamlining payroll processes and is fully integrated with existing HR systems. The intention is to interface the hours on a weekly basis to payroll.

Generation of Reports

Aer Lingus reports increased time and attendance efficiency across the group since installing TMS. “Prior to using TMS reporting capabilities were somewhat limited whereas reporting is now greatly enhanced. TMS generates a comprehensive range of reports in areas such as roster compliance, attendance management, payroll and planned holidays amongst many others. The reports generated by TMS have helped to improve daily efficiencies.”

Technical Support

“TMS is both user-friendly and reliable; it is a very easy system to work with and was found to be the most flexible system when compared to other time and attendance solutions. We receive excellent after sales and technical support from Advance Systems. As well as their Technical Support Desk, we also have the guidance and expertise of their Software Development Team and IT Department should we ever need them.”

Fully-customisable

“TMS provides the level of flexibility that we require from a time and attendance solution. It can be easily customised to amend existing rules and incorporate new rules.

We would certainly recommend Advance Systems and their time and attendance software to other organisations.  Advance Systems have continuously proved that they are more than capable of developing, delivering and supporting solutions to match the highest of requirements and standards.”
